受身の動詞は必ず目的語を伴う他動詞でなければならない

助動詞　aux

動詞の前について、動詞の表現の幅を広げる働きをする。また原則として助動詞の後に来る動詞は原形を用いる

主節、従属節

従属節

構造上の主語+述語動詞で形成されて、その文全体が名詞、形容詞、副詞の働きをする

主節

これに対して従属節を文の要素として捉える文を主節という、主節の述語動詞を大黒柱と呼ぶことにする。

従属節を作るには２つの手順が一般的

従属節を作るS+Vを主節の前につける　　　　　　　　　　　　　⇒従属接続詞

従属節を作るS+Vを主節の中で文の要素として用いる。　　　⇒関係詞、疑問詞

内側と外側の関係

従属節の構造を内側と外側に分けて認識する

この時、従属節の外側の働きは名詞節で動詞toldの目的語となる。文章事態はSVOOの第４文型である

また、従属節の内側の働きはthatは従属接続詞、 sheは主語S、 wasは動詞V②、 illは形容詞で補語Cである

内外断絶の原則

従属節の内の語が外の語に対して文法的な働きを持つことは無い

また外の語が内の語に対して文法的な働きを持つことも無い

従属接続詞

that,if,whether,because,though,unless

名詞節を作る従属接続詞はこの３つだけ⇒that if whether それ以外はすべて形容詞節、副詞節となる
